Formulating the general policy for academic planning of undergraduate and postgraduate studies, as well as scientific research.
Approving the study plans and curricula submitted by the College Councils.
Monitoring the work of curriculum development committees within the university’s college programs.
Monitoring the implementation of academic, research, and community and environmental plans, and verifying the quality of their execution.
Determining the titles of academic degrees awarded by the university.
Approving graduation results across the various academic programs in the colleges.
Assisting in the development of general plans for the advancement of colleges and academic programs.
Reviewing the recommendations of the College Councils or scientific committees and expressing an opinion thereon.
Establishing or cancelling program titles and their departments, and proposing the creation, merger, renaming, or cancellation of programs or centers, within the framework of the university’s general policy.
Expressing opinions on academic matters necessary to achieve the university’s goals, mission, and strategy.
Reviewing the periodic and annual reports of the colleges, including Quality Assurance Office reports, addressing shortcomings, and enhancing strengths prior to submission to the University Council.
Addressing general academic issues related to students.
Proposing quality assurance regulations and policies for the educational process and academic performance.
Monitoring institutional and programmatic accreditation procedures through Total Quality Management reports.
Supervising the development of educational and technological tools and the use of artificial intelligence.
Following up on implementation and coordinating efforts related to postgraduate programs.
Monitoring the implementation of academic agreements.
Reviewing and approving graduation requirements for academic programs and colleges.
Periodic review and approval of updates to the university’s graduation requirements.
The University Academic Council is formed in accordance with the University President’s Decision No. (57) of 2024.

The Council Chair has the right to invite whomever he/she deems necessary to attend the meetings.
The Academic Council meets upon the invitation of its Chairperson at least twice a month, and it may also convened
ed whenever deemed necessary.
